OneData Technology
Java: OneData is a Java application, and runs on any J2EE application server such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss or Sun ONE, on any Java-supported hardware and operating system.
Oracle: Its internal metadata schema is Oracle-based, whereas the Work and Release schemas may be any relational database.
Client software: No client software other than a web browser is needed to access the full functionality of the software, including application administration and configuration.
Scalable architecture: OneData is inherently scalable at several levels, including the ability to add additional OneData application servers, J2EE server clustering, or database clustering.
Open repository: Any third-party tool can query repository contents.
Open interfaces: Numerous standards-based interface options are available, including Web Services and JMS messaging, as well as an API and other integration options.
External authentication: In addition to application security, external authentication using LDAP and Windows Active Directory are supported.
The fully integrated, yet modular, pluggable architecture allows use of enterprise standards such as modeling tools, ETL tools, reporting tools and validation engines, replacing the built-in capability.
