OneData provides both a strategic framework as well as an easy-to-use web-based tool for managing Master Data - an end-to-end solution that also integrates well with other tools in the system landscape.

- Semantic reconciliation: OneData's collaborative framework helps in reconciling the semantic differences in the various master data sources. It provides the centralized repository to store the consistent definition for a subject or context and to align it within the enterprise.
- OneData’s flexibility allows the customer’s data model to be setup in the system with the underlying relationships/dependencies maintained in the system. The data model setup in the system is open and non-proprietary. The underlying data model can be access by other applications/ETL tools/Reporting tools.
- OneData’s abstraction layer hides the underlying complexity of the data model from business users presents the data in business terms to make it easier to manage and govern the data. This also allows the data to be modeled accurately taking care of all the requirements of the business.
- Seamless pipelines can be built between the centralized repository in OneData and other master data sources. This provides a ‘virtual’ central repository and insulates the users from searching for various master data sources.
- In order to adapt to the various cleansing techniques/technologies that a customer might use OneData provides an open framework to integrate with cleansing tools. Event based triggers or user triggered cleansing can be easily integrated with the open framework. With the virtual centralization and open framework to call external cleansing tools, OneData provides the complete setup for consolidation and cleansing of master data sources. This open interface to call other tools makes OneData a plug gable part of the enterprise architecture.
- An important part of master data consolidation is handling the rejections from the cleansing process (records below the threshold that require manual intervention). The users can easily manage the rejects through the web based front-end.
- The web based front-end also provides the functionality to manage the ‘create’ process of master data. All data might not be consolidated. Some new master data needs to be created in the central repository with the use of the front-end.
- Master data management usually deals with high volumes and to provide easy data governance is essential. OneData’s flexible workflow routing and integration with e-mail provides the framework to effectively manage the quality of master data in the repository.
- Scalable architecture allows the application to grow with the demands of the enterprise and allows for a phased rollout of the subject areas. It also provides increased ‘timeliness’ for critical master data. The real-time inbound-outbound messaging can take care of critical business processes that need access to information in a timely manner.
- Mature product - OneData has been through multiple cycles of implementation over the last 4 years and addresses all the challenges faced. The product architecture team has been and continues to be involved in hands on implementations to understand the challenges and address them through the software solution.
- As your Master Data requirements grow, the same tool can be used across different subject areas like Customer, Product, Vendor, and Item.
